Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I change / update details relating to my account / profile on Surer?

    You can do so by clicking on your profile image on the top right corner. Thereafter, you will be able to access your profile and account details – you can make changes there including updating your email address, password, contact information and the insurers/underwriters you representent and work with. Check out this video tutorial for more details on how you can do so.

  • How do I change / update the insurers that I represent and/or the underwriters I work with?

    You can do so by clicking on your profile image on the top right corner. You will see a section called ‘Insurers & Underwriters’. You can click on the ‘edit’ button to make the necessary changes or the ‘add’ button to create a new insurer or underwriter. Check out this video tutorial for more details on how you can do so.

  • What is the difference between a custom proposal and an instant quote proposal?

    Instant Quote proposal means going into our instant quote marketplace to see if there are any suitable products. Products listed in the instant quote marketplace will give your quotes instantaneously. You can learn more about the instant quote marketplace here.

    Custom proposal means to create a customised proposal from a list of over 50 product form templates. In this case, you can choose from any number of principals you represent to send the proposal to. You can learn more about this feature via this video tutorial.

  • What is the ‘send to client’ button for?

    This button will trigger a feature that allows you to send the client the proposal form for them to fill out parts of the information that they are clear on. We call this ‘Proposal co-creation’ where you jointly create a proposal with the client. You can learn more about this feature here.

  • I have created and sent a proposal. Where do I check on quotation status?

    You can check on the statuses of all proposals you have sent by locating the ‘In progress’ tab via the navigation bar on the left. You will be able to get an overview of all the proposals you have sent here. Click on any of the proposals listed to get a deeper view on statuses and quotes received.     You will also be notified via email and the ‘Outstanding Task’ widget on your dashboard should you receive a new quote. You can learn more about the ‘Outstanding Task’ widget here.

    I was in the middle of creating a proposal and I lost connection. Do I have to recreate the entire proposal?

    No. All proposals are automatically saved as a draft at a 5-seconds interval. You can access the proposal you were in the middle of creating via the ‘Draft’ tab located on the navigation bar on the left. You can learn more about this feature here.

  • I cannot find a particular product in both the custom and instant quote flow. Does this mean I cannot create a proposal for this product to get a quote?

    Yes, while we have a comprehensive list of products, it unfortunately means we do not have that product available. However, you could write in to info@surer.sg to let us know and we will do our best to make that product available.

  • How do I access policies of deals that I have closed via Surer?

    Locate the ‘Policies’ tab via the navigation bar on the left. The Policies tab is nestled under ‘Proposals’. You can learn more about this feature via this video tutorial.

  • How do I renew a policy via Surer?

    Go to the policies section in your account and click on the ‘Renew’ button on the top right corner. You can learn more about this feature via this video tutorial.

  • I have existing policies that are in another system or in hardcopy. How do I port them over to Surer?

    You can start porting your policies over to Surer by using the Policy creation feature. You can learn more about this feature via this video tutorial. Should you require further assistance on bulk porting of policies, you may write in to info@surer.sg to request for assistance.

  • How do I sign up for a Surer account?

    Surer is free to use for all licensed insurance intermediaries based in Singapore. Intermediaries can sign up for an account here.

  • I am a General Insurance Agent, can I sign up for a Surer account?

    Yes. Do take note that in our verification process, we will require that you indicate your accreditation number as only licensed insurance intermediaries are allowed to use the Surer platform. You may check for your accreditation number here.

  • I am a Financial Advisor, can I sign up for a Surer account?

    Yes. Do take note that in our verification process, we will require that you indicate your accreditation number as only licensed insurance intermediaries are allowed to use the Surer platform. You may check for your accreditation number here.

  • I am representing a TSA (Trade-Specific Agency), can I sign up for a Surer account?

    Yes. Do take note that in our verification process, we will require that you indicate your accreditation number as only licensed insurance intermediaries are allowed to use the Surer platform. You may check for your accreditation number here.

  • I am a Composite Agent, can I sign up for a Surer account?

    Yes. Do take note that in our verification process, we will require that you indicate your accreditation number as only licensed insurance intermediaries are allowed to use the Surer platform. Given that you are a composite agent, we will require you to indicate your GIA number as your accreditation number. You may check for your accreditation number here.

  • I am a Broker, can I sign up for a Surer account?

    Yes. Do take note that in our verification process, we will require that you indicate your accreditation number as only licensed insurance intermediaries are allowed to use the Surer platform. Given that you are a Broker, we will require you to indicate your firm’s UEN number as your accreditation number.

  • I am a Life Insurance Agent, can sign I up for a Surer account?

    Yes. Do take note that in our verification process, we will require that you indicate your accreditation number as only licensed insurance intermediaries are allowed to use the Surer platform. You may check for your accreditation number here.

  • What is Surer?
